Homemade External Hard Drive Holders!

It’s been too long since we talked about something other than products, sales, and resources!

Let’s talk about External Hard Drives. How many of you use external hard drives to store your digital files? I do! I have one for hobbies and one for work.

I got tired of them sitting on my desk, under papers, under books, beside my drink…all bad news! SO….I had an idea! Why not use soap holders??? I have some extra space on my desk that would be perfect to stick them…!!

Now my hard drives are safe and secure, out of the way! You can do this too!

Hard Drive Holders for under $5!

Tools:

1 Plastic Soap Holder

2 Mini Command Strips

Directions:

Many soap holder come with a suction cup on the back. Remove that.

Stick the Command Strips onto the back of the Soap Holder. I didn’t like the strips poking over the top of the soap holder, so I trimmed mine with scissors.

Stick your soap holder onto your desk!

All Done! What do you think??!

Mine came with a holder so it could sit upright. Love the externals, Thinking of getting another one with more space for a second backup for my scrapbooking and important information. If I go on a long vacation, they take little room to pack it up and tote it along.

Great tip for putting them where there’s normally empty and unusable space.

You could do a variation of this with some other kind of soap holder, too. = )

Yeah! Excellent idea! Wish we had those soap holders in the Netherlands. Never seen them before.
