History of the MDI Domain Name
Have you all met Lucie of LucieB Designs?? She’s a great lady to know! Not only is she super friendly, but she’s a fabulous digital graphics and web designer!
Why am I talking about Lucie today? Well, for my birthday last year – Lucie bought the megadoodleinspired.com domain name for my birthday! It’s been one year already and I wanted to formally thank her (again) for what she did.
Lucie brought Mega-Doodle Inspired out of the shadow… By obtaining my own domain name, I was able to grow and increase my business! Now I have an open Gallery, Team Forum, a Store, and the {f.o.r.e.v.e.r} Free Downloads Site. Lucie gave me the confidence to break out of the blogspot.com world and grow on my own. OK…do I sound like a big dork yet? LOL
Lucie also introduced me to WordPress. Sure, I’ve seen it around for year, but really … I was afraid of something new. Initially, I just moved my blogspot blog to my domain and then eventually I got confident enough to work with WordPress. Now?? I recommend it to everyone! ha!
Do you remember my post entitled “Are You Popular?” Well, when I put my long domain name into those tools, I realized that maybe I needed a shorter domain name. So then I also bought mega-doodle.com. = ) That domain name helped increase my site rank! LOL

The name was born out of the inspiration of your daughter, Megan. Her nickname is Doodle and Mega-Doodle was born. I’m sure you creative side and you’re “doodling” helped give you the idea as well.

I agree that your name came about from the nickname (Mega-Doodle) of your daughter Megan. I was trying to remember how she got the nickname and now I found it. She got the nickname from someone at daycare.
