Pirate at Artscow: Margaret

Pirate at Artscow: Margaret

Posted on 11. Jul, 2009 by megadoodle in Digital Piracy

It is with sad news that I make this announcement. You provide free products and you know that eventually someone is going to stab you in the back, but …  you really hope it doesn’t happen.

I’ve had people buy my products and then share them illegally on 4shared. But never…never…never, have I had someone slap their own logo over my preview and flop it into a store. I’m so upset I am shaking.

Here is a screen shot of my products at artscow.com being shared illegally under new titles and semi-new previews. Click on screenshot for larger preview.

In the table below, you’ll find her previews and my original kit previews. You can click on each image to view a larger version of each.

Curious as to what my Terms of Use says for these products? Read it Here.

All of these kits were originally available at my various Digital Scrapbooking Stores before they were moved to {f.o.r.e.v.e.r} Free Downloads.

I suggest that you all check this persons products to see if she’s stolen anything of yours. Spread the word. I have used the Contact Us form at artscow to try and have these products removed from their site. I’ll keep you updated.

A BIG thank you to the wonderful lady who let me know that this piracy was taking place.

I’ve tried to warn people about artscow. This company is owned by chinese, their corporate office is IN China, and the chinese are notorious for stealing everything from movies to music to digital art. They don’t honor ANY copyright and there’s no way to sue them or get any retribution.

I’m so sorry this happened to you!!!

Send her a cease-and-desist email. I didn’t check her TOU…but I imagine she wouldn’t care for the same thing happening to her.
